Raketa and the iconic Sovremennik Theatre have brought their traditions together to create a limited-edition watch collection. This collaboration is timed to coincide with two significant dates: the 70th anniversary of the theatre and the 65th anniversary of the manufacture.The collection is limited to 100 watches.

The words and numbers encode important milestones in the history of the Sovremennik Theater. The numerals ‘one,’ ‘nine,’ ‘five,’ and ‘six’, making up the theater’s founding year (1956), are marked at the corresponding sections on the dial. The numerals ‘7’ and ‘0’ bring forward the 70th anniversary. Furthermore, ‘7’ is a reference to the traditional performance start time. The complex 3D geometry of the dial resembles an amphitheater. This is a reference to the earliest theatrical performances, staged in arenas surrounded by spectator stands, but also to the history of Sovremennik, whose building housed the Colosseum movie theater in the early 20th century. The color palette and graphic design of the dial are inspired by Sovremennik's playbills.

Movement
The alligator leather strap is embossed with the logos of both brands in blue and red, symbolizing the creative bond between the two institutions. The ‘heart’ of the watch is a Russian-made Raketa automatic movement, produced from A to Z at the Petrodvorets Watch Factory — one of the few in the world that still manufactures its own in-house movements. The open caseback cover reveals an in-house Raketa movement and its cobalt blue rotor decorated with the Nevsky waves and the Sovremennik logo. The case back cover also displays a unique watch number, from 001/100 to 100/100.
