FAQ
Your watch works perfectly! Let's take a closer look. The accuracy of mechanical watches can be affected by factors such as temperature fluctuations or position in space. For example, the same watch can gain when the dial is facing up and lose when the dial is facing down. A deviation of 2 minutes in 2 weeks is only about 8.6 seconds per day. For comparison, most mechanical watches (including Swiss ones) allow a deviation of -20 to +30 seconds per day. According to the factory settings, the Raketa watch movement have an accuracy of -10 to +20 seconds per day. Your result fully corresponds to the factory settings, and such a minimal deviation is more a reason for pride than concern!
Depending on the operating conditions, scheduled maintenance should be performed every 3 to 5years. This recommendation applies to all mechanical watches, since watch oil loses its properties over time, becomes more viscous, the movement operation deteriorates and, as a result, the watch accuracy deteriorates. If you do not repassage (full service) the movement in time, wear will form on the rubbing parts of the movement, which will lead to their breakdown and the need to replace them. It is precisely in order to avoid expensive repairs in the future that it is recommended to perform maintenance regularly and in a timely manner.
Yes, your watch is fine and you have nothing to worry about. The most common and banal reason for stopping a mechanical watch with automatic winding is the end of the mainspring winding. Automatic watches are an amazing combination of mechanics and the kinetic energy ofyour body. When you move your hand, the rotor (semi-circular weight) shifts under the influenceof gravity and inertia. The system of reversible wheels transfers the energy of the rotor's rotation to the mainspring. Its gradual unwinding ensures the watch's movement. The power reserve of the Raketa mechanisms is 40 hours. If the watch lies without movement for longer than this time,it stops and this is completely normal. To start the watch, you need to make 15-20 turns of the winding head.
Repassage, or "Full service" of the movement, is a complex procedure that includes complete disassembly of the watch, careful inspection of each part for damage, wear or corrosion, and replacement of defective elements. All parts of the movement are washed in special solutions. After that, the movement is assembled and the lubrication is renewed. Then, the accuracy of the movement is adjusted and set using professional equipment. The watch case is cleaned in an ultrasonic bath, and after assembly, the tightness is checked. The final stage is testing for compliance with factory parameters. This process guarantees the restoration of the accuracy, reliability and durability of the watch.
