BIG ZERO Brother 2

The Raketa Watch Factory continues its collaboration with the “CTB” film company and presents a new limited-edition model dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Aleksei Balabanov’s film “Brother 2. On the way home”. The previous release took place three years ago and was also timed to coincide with the anniversary of the first part of Danila Bagrov’s story, who became a hero for several generations. Today, both films are considered cult classics and rightfully belong to the golden fund of post-Soviet cinema. Released in the 2000s, “Brother 2. On the way home” became a sequel to the ’90s hit, placing the hero in new realities. Similarly, the Raketa Watch Factory reinterprets the legendary model, making it relevant once again.
The limited series consists of uniquely numbered pieces from 1 to 50. The design is based on Raketa’s permanent collection Big Zero. The aesthetics of the black dial with large white numbers and markers take on a special meaning with a bright accent — the elements of the “2” and “5” markers are highlighted in red, forming the symbolic number “25” as a tribute to the film’s quarter-century anniversary. For better readability, the hands and markers are coated with Super-LumiNova.
The strap plays an important role in the design: it is not only equipped with a convenient quick-release system but also adorned with famous quote from the film saga. If the previous model posed the question “V chem sila, brat?” (“Where does the strength lie, brother?”), the new model provides the answer — “Sila v pravde” (“Strength lies in truth”). This detail makes the watch not just a stylish accessory but a true symbol of the film’s philosophy. As with the previous model, the watch case is styled as a VHS tape with the inscription “Брат 2-25” (Brother 2-25). The back of the watch reveals a beautifully decorated with Neva waves rotor of the automatic movement which is entirely produced at the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg.
