Golden Key

On New Year's Eve, the Raketa Watch Manufacture is launching The Golden Key model, a unique collector's series of 300 timepieces. In the fairy tale The Adventures of Buratino (Russian version of Pinocchio), a key opened the door to a world where your most cherished dreams come true. Raketa turns it into the ‘key’ for winding a watch and for realizing that you can always find the time to transform your dream into reality. All you need is to use this key to get your watch started and to make your wish come true. Raketa gladly opens the doors to pre-ordering this collector's series while production is still ongoing. This way, the connoisseurs can be the first to join this fairy tale. Once the owner receives their watch, they can wind it up with the key and bring it to life.

The connection to the fairy tale is further emphasized by the watch case made from natural walnut wood. This model pays tribute to, and offers a modern interpretation of a rare Raketa watch with a wooden case produced in the 20th century. The case is coated with varnish, which provides additional protection against warp and moisture while preserving the natural beauty of the material. The key to wind the watch is attached to a leather cord, so it can be worn around the neck as a charm or at the wrist as a bracelet. As the fairy tale has it, “With the right key in your hand, the right door will always reveal itself.” The heart of this watch is the Russian manual winding movement created from A to Z at the Raketa Watch Manufacture, one of the few manufacturers in the world that still produce in-house movements.

New Year’s Eve is the perfect time to make a wish and take a step closer to turning it into reality. Take a moment to think about the dream you are currently pursuing. While the fairy tale features only one key, Raketa offers 300 of them, coming with every watch in this limited edition. This limited number is final and conclusive, making sure that 300 unique stories are created in the world — and yours could be one of them!
