Master Horologist

Arseny Gladskikh is a watchmaker at Raketa and a champion of its Million Dollar Hands project. His story, just like those of other Manufacture’s craftsmen, reveals our brand's philosophy: behind every movement beats the soul of the craftsman who assembled it by hand.

Arseny became a watchmaker as chance would have it, driven by a desire to repair his grandfather's pocket watch. It was the first watch he repaired using his own hands and a minimal set of tools. For the next six months, he pursued his hobby of studying the structure of movements and repairing watches. Gradually, his primary work gave way to this new calling. Eager to become a watchmaker who would “bring time to life”, he finally made it to Raketa Manufacture.

Senior colleagues showed him the intricacies of the craft and taught him to value the moment of creation, when you have assembled all the parts with your own hands and are ready to start the movement. Here, right now, on the watchmaker's desk, a new watch is born that someone will wear. The first ticktack of a movement is more than a mere indication of precision. It is the heartbeat initiated by the master’s hands.
