Master of Fine Watchmaking

Konstantin Chaykin, an inventor and master of fine watchmaking, has joined Raketa's "Million Dollar Hands" photoproject.

Konstantin Chaykin’s watches draw inspiration from the maestro’s own innovations, radiating a distinctive sense of creative freedom. His vision has brought him international recognition: Konstantin Chaykin became the first Russian member of the esteemed AHCI (International Academy of Independent Watchmakers, Switzerland), an organization he would later lead as Chair. In 2018, Konstantin Chaykin's Clown watch with a chameleon dial was awarded the Audacity Prize at the GPHG (Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève), the Oscar's equivalent for watchmakers. The real breakthrough came in 2024 with the unveiling of ThinKing, the world’s thinnest watch. Thus, a Russian independent watchmaker accomplished what the industry giants could not.

Konstantin Chaykin and Raketa share a common understanding that Russian mechanical watches should embody the spirit of their creator. Which is only achievable if bold creativity takes over mass production. Here, the master is holding one of the first prototypes of a possible future collaboration with Raketa.
